DP Production Testing

Two Levels

All Unigraf's DisplayPort™ test equipment include a software interface for creating automated test sequences for either test chamber or production line use. It can be divided into two functional levels:
• For testing DP link related issues all equiment support a Production Test Command Set.
• For testing the behavior and functionality of DP Source Devices UFG-04 DP test frame grabber includes a comprehensive SDK with example applications.

Production Test Command (PTC)

This command set is an ideal tool for testing DP link related issues. An application using the PTCs can execute sequences of user definable steps involving basic link level functionality. The application can also use CTS tests out of a fixed set.

The tests are performed jointly by Users test application in the PC and the Firmware (FW) in the Test Equipment (TE). The application communicates with the FW over a serial or USB interface. The Production Test Command set is available for all Unigraf Reference Sources and Reference Sinks. For details plese refer to the links below.

UFG04 SDK

Unigraf UFG04 platform provides a unique method for creating an automated testing setup for HDMI or DisplayPort source devices. By using Unigraf's test frame grabbers and UFG04 SDK With the SDK User's test application can verify both the integrity of the output signal of the source and also its interoperability with sink devices.

UFG04 SDK allows the Users test application has full access to all information received from the Source. You can capture video and audio data, video timing information, MSA and other metadata. The application can also e.g. reprogram the EDID of the board for emulating various sink devices or abnormal situations.

With the on board compare functions the application can verify the similarity of received frames over e.g. environmental stress. The extended on-board frame buffer enables the capture of up to 700 FHD non-drop frames for e.g verfying the rendering of moving images.

UFG04 SDK and UFG04 Console are based on the same software API. Most of the powerful features that are available in the Unigraf's UFG04 Console GUI can also be implemented in your custom test sequences.
