QA Lead
Location: Bangalore, India (with initial training in Finland)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to establish and oversee the Quality Assurance function within our organization. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for setting up the QA team, defining best practices, and ensuring the highest standards of product quality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive process improvements, and implement both manual and automated testing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Build and lead a high-performing QA team (up to 5 QA engineers and a technical writer) in Bangalore.
- Establish and manage an in-house test lab to support product validation.
- Mentor and train the R&D team on QA methodologies and best practices.
Process & Strategy
- Design, implement, and optimize QA policies, processes, and test plans.
- Administer and maintain quality management systems (Redmine).
- Track, analyze, and prioritize customer-reported defects for resolution.
- Develop and monitor key QA metrics to assess product quality and team performance.
Testing & Automation
- Schedule and execute manual and automated testing across local and remote test environments.
- Define requirements for QA automation tools and frameworks.
- Contribute to automation script development (Python/Jenkins) as capacity permits.
Technical & Operational Excellence
- Analyze product specifications and statistical data to enhance testing coverage.
- Manage test equipment and infrastructure to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Serve as a hands-on leader, actively participating in testing activities when required.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
- Education: Master’s degree (MSc) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years in QA leadership or senior QA engineering roles.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in Python and Jenkins for test automation.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent English communication (written and verbal).
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of working independently.
- Travel: Willingness to relocate to Finland for several months for initial training.
- Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience in testing audio/video interfaces or high-speed wired/wireless communication protocols.
- Background in DevOps or CI/CD pipeline integration.

Technical Writer & Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile Technical Writer QA Engineer to ensure product quality and maintain comprehensive documentation for our cutting-edge display interface solutions (DisplayPort, HDMI, USB-C). In this dual-role position, you will execute rigorous testing, contribute to test automation, and produce high-quality technical documentation to enhance user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Writing (70%)
- Maintain, update, and enhance the User Manual for our devices (e.g., https://www.unigraf.fi/app/uploads/2025/07/UCD-5XX-Console-User-Manual-v3_6.pdf).
- Conduct hands-on testing to validate documentation accuracy and report discrepancies via the bug tracking system.
- Ensure technical content is clear, concise, and user-friendly for both end-users and internal stakeholders.
QA Engineering (30%)
- Develop and execute release test plans and acceptance testing for display interface technologies (DisplayPort, HDMI, USB-C).
- Manage and operate local and remote test equipment to validate product performance.
- Perform manual and automated testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3+ years in QA engineering, including test planning and execution.
- Technical Writing: Ability to produce well-structured, accurate technical user manual
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal English communication.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience testing audio/video interfaces (e.g., HDMI, DisplayPort) or high-speed wired/wireless communication protocols.
- Prior work in an ASIC/semiconductor company as a QA engineer.
- Familiarity with hardware testing tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers).

Field Application Engineer
We are now looking for a Field Application Engineer to work in our Bangalore/INDIA region. We offer an interesting position to work with the cutting-edge video equipment. Since our customers are big global companies, we appreciate a person who likes to work in international environment and can fluently communicate in English.
Job description
Objectives of this role:
As a Field Application Engineer, you will provide clients facing, telephone and email pre-sales and post-sales technical support (trouble shooting hardware & software issues), recommend products and solutions, and train resellers and end users on Video & USB-C test equipment. Travel and on-site support will occasionally be required.
Responsibilities:
- Help Unigraf customers to use Unigraf products (SW updates, troubleshooting, training)
- Get a quick understanding of product-line & offerings to be able to position Unigraf products for Client’s application needs & accordingly suggest appropriate products.
- Develop capabilities to show test application demos to customers
- Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, identify, and resolve client’s technical issues related to Unigraf products. Provide onsite technical support as necessary.
- Collect feedback about required bugfixes and new feature ideas and deliver them to R&D
- Participate Unigraf new feature validation in release testing to get understanding of latest features
- Create training materials / content & conduct technical training for clients
- Help customers to develop test automation applications with Unigraf products
Required skills and qualifications
- Language skills: English (fluent)
- Technical expertise, Critical thinking, Problem Solving, Excellent Communication Skills
- Diploma / Bachelors in Electronics & related – More than 5 years working experience as a Service Engineer / FAE, Embedded systems developer
- Strong background & proven experience with HW and SW systems & Trouble shooting.
- Customer service skills gained in working with international customers
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and client needs and communicate information to appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Good English communication skills and inter-personal skills to enable global and cross-functional engagements, plus ability to read, comprehend and explain engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Self-motivated, self-disciplined, and well organized.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Python and scripting (Shell, TCL) is an advantage
- Experience with production line support and factory clients is a plus.
- Knowledge in application support for multiple platforms (Window, Linux, MacOS)
- Prior experience with the Display interfaces such as DisplayPort, HDMI, etc and / high speed communication interfaces.
- Interest & Ability to learn video protocol, testing for DisplayPort, HDMI and USB-C (power delivery)
- Experience in front end/ user interface and test automation are advantage
