Description
UCD-422 is a video generator and analyzer for testing HDMI 2.1 interface up to 10K video modes and supports advanced resolutions such as 4K@120Hz, 8K@60Hz and 10K@30Hz with uncompressed video. UCD-422 offers support for FEC, DSC, eARC and HDCP 1.4/2.3. Any video format, audio format, frame rate, video timing, and InfoFrames etc. including timestamps can be generated in any sequence, allowing the UCD-422 to generate nearly endless combination of test scenarios.
HDMI Link Analyzer
HDMI Link Analyzer is a tool for capturing Main-link Data Events and I2C Transactions. For each bulk capture, the data is parsed in a timeline view presenting the captured frames. Within each frame, users can have a deep view of the events and metadata that occurs in each line. Measure distances in nanoseconds and symbol size to identify the length of problems in between events. Observe descrambled and scrambled symbols in hexadecimal format in each of the active lanes.
Approved HDR10+ Display Device Test Tool
Unigraf’s HDR 10+ Display Device Test License (MT6675), allows HDR 10+ adopters to generate HDR 10+ specific patterns that are required by HDR 10+ LLC to certify Sink devices such as TVs and Monitors for HDR 10+.
Unigraf’s solution integrates Klein K-10A colorimeter for automated testing of HDR 10+ Display Device tests allowing users to set and play the patterns without having to manually measure luminance values of HDR 10+ patterns. Users that do not have Klein K-10A colorimeter will be able to manually record measured luminance values into the software GUI. This solution is easy to use and reduces the time required to run HDR 10 Display Device certification tests.
Fixed Rate Link / TMDS Support
Fixed Rate Link (FRL) is the link data transfer method introduced in HDMI 2.1. FRL replaces the current TMDS but HDMI 2.1 specification still requires support for TMDS for backwards compatibility with billions of HDMI 1.4b and 2.0 devices in the world. (Source: HDMI)
The UCD-422 can identify interoperability issues on FRL capable Sink and Source. Users can verify if an image is captured correctly on the UCD Console when testing Source devices using different FRL modes.
Unique Features
Enhanced Gaming Features
Check the availability of enhanced gaming features on sink and source devices that support Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). Check full range of VRR from 40 Hz to 120 Hz. Ready-made scenarios for ALLM testing are available in the UCD-422. By supporting these enhanced gaming features, the UCD-422 makes for a complete test tool for game console and display manufacturers.
Create Your Own Scenarios
Any video format, audio, frame rate, video timing, and infoframes including time stamps can be played or captured by UCD-422. There are no restrictions on the output of video formats.
UCD Console GUI and API
UCD Console is Unigraf’s common Graphical User Interface (GUI) for all UCD series products. UCD Console enables users to access all features of the UCD-422 by providing a flexible way of navigating between both Sink and Source roles and all the functionalities of each role. Some of the available functionalities include preview windows pattern generator and received video/audio, data logger for all packets including I2C, SDCD, CEC, metadata content, link, register monitoring and control dialogs, EDID editor, HDCP status and control functions and much more.
Additionally, all the functionality of the UCD-422 is available via API for creating test automation.
