Unigraf UFG04 Console Supports HDMI® 1.4 3D

With the recent updates, Unigraf's UFG04 Console with UFG-04 HDMA Capture Board can now help HDMI® Source Device vendors to evaluate also the 3D capability of their devices according to HDMI 1.4a standard.

UFG04 Console is a tool that is used by the developers and vendors of PC Graphic Cards, Set Top Box and other Multimedia Devices to make sure that their devices perform well when connected any HDMI® Sink or Repater device. This includes verifing the Sink - Source interoperability with various EDID combinations, the video timing and the correctness of the Metadata sent by the Source.

The new features enable the Source designer to verify also the right interpretation of the 3D features in the HDMI Vendor-Specific Data Block in the E-EDID data stucture of the Sink. The designer can also verify that the 3D related fileds in the HDMI Vendor Specific InfoFrame extension and the video data are properly sent.

With the UFG-04 HDMA Capture Board the user can preview the 3D video data. UFG04 Console supports the following 3D data formats: Frame Packing, Side-by-Side (Full) and (Half), Top-and-Bottom. When the HDCP encryption is not enabled, the user can also store the data as individual image bitmap files in his PC.

DCP, LLC has announced today the approval of the Unigraf VTG-5225 and DPT-200 as Authorized Test Tools for HDCP compliance testing. "The DPT-200 has been demonstrated on DisplayPort Sink devices to accurately test to the HDCP DisplayPort CTS."

Unigraf VTG-5225 and DPT-200 are the first Approved Test Tools and it will be used as the Primary Test Equipment for Authorized Test Center HDCP Compliance Testing.

Unigraf, the specialist of video test pattern sources and video capture cards, announced today that VTM Inc., assigned by VESA, has qualified Unigraf DisplayPort™ test equipment and tools. The qualification enables Unigraf equipment to be used as Authorized Test Tools for DisplayPort™ Link Layer compliance testing for the DP Certified logo.

The qualification applies to the full range of Unigraf equipment for DisplayPort™ Sink and Source testing. The devices qualified now are:

DPR-100, DisplayPort™ Reference Sink,
• Unigraf
UFG-04 DP, PCI-e DisplayPort™ frame grabber card Reference Sink,

VTG-5225 DP is a new member in the deep color video pattern source family. In addition to the full DisplayPort™ Reference Source and CTS testing capability, it features the RGB, YPbPr and Dual-DVI outputs. The flexible WinVTG Windows user interface allows the user to precisely define the timing, the pattern and the output signal. The unit is also capable of testing the HDCP status.

DPR-100 is a novel tool for testing the DisplayPort™ Sources. With its compact size, smaller than a paperback, it is ideal both for laboratory desktop and production line rack. In addition to the DP input cable, it needs only an USB connection to the PC. In spite of its compact size, DPR-100 includes the full functionality of a DiplayPort™ Reference Sink. With the optional CTS software the user is able to do the full compliance testing, verify the HDCP functionalities or just monitor the status of the DP connection.

UFG-04 DP is a PCI-e format DisplayPort™ frame grabber card. The card features the full Reference Sink functionality. in addition to that the user can also capture and store the received signal as bitmaps for later analyzing and for archiving. In contrast to visual analysis, the captured bitmaps can be examined in pixel and gray level detail. This is a valuable feature e.g. for automated testing of Sources ensuring multiple testing in a fast cycle.

Unigraf is introducing a new version of its high definition, deep color video test pattern generator family. The new product called VTG-5120 DP is a full featured test pattern source for testing DisplayPort™ sink functionality. VTG-5120 DP implements the full requirements set in DisplayPort™ specification for deep color and it supports display modes up to WQXGA resolution.

The optional model VTG-5120 DP‑LL implements the Link Layer Conformance Test version 1.1a functionalities.
